Arts Education Grants and Doris Sahr Piano Grants
We appreciate your interest in the Chesapeake Fine Arts Commission's (FAC) annual Arts Education Grants and Doris Sahr Piano Grants programs.
Due to the unavoidable difficulties that we face in a challenging economic period, the Commission has had to carefully evaluate its events and activities. Regretfully, the Fine Arts Commission finds it necessary to cancel the 2010 Arts Education and Doris Sahr Piano Grants programs.
This annual event is one of which we are most proud. We hope it will be possible to resume these programs in 2011. Additional information will be made available on the Fine Arts webpage as soon as possible. Thank you for keeping the arts in your life!

Enriching Chesapeake Through the Arts
Since 1968, the Chesapeake Fine Arts Commission (CFAC) has served as the united voice for the arts community by educating the public about the value and significance of music, architecture, drama, dance, painting, and sculpture. Through financial assistance to individuals, organizations, schools, and corporations, the CFAC enriches both the personal lives of residents and the local economy. The CFAC sponsors a large variety of programs and brings productions by the Virginia Symphony, Virginia Opera, and Young Audiences of Virginia to area schools annually.
Healing Arts Exhibit
An exhibit of artists who have created art as a means of coping with their illness or disability.
Opening Reception: June 30, 2010
City of Chesapeake, Virginia
