Parks & Recreation Department - Notable Yards 2005
WESTERN BRANCH. Shawn and Etta Williams. 1616 Swan Lake Crescent.
Shawn and Etta Williams have designed a landscape with wonderful combinations of color. The red cedar mulch complements the red brick home exterior. Purple and yellow flowers provide a punch of color throughout the landscape. Crisp edging and impressive stone garden borders are a delight.
Yard art placed strategically throughout the garden helps to provide interesting areas during all the seasons of the year. Plant varieties include daylilies, lantana, verbena, vinca, geraniums, several varieties of holly, honeysuckle, hosta, clematis, and yucca. A pond filled with water plants and koi is located next the front steps.
The home is located in Goose Creek Estates, a former Homearama site.
