Located on the banks of the Northwest River in Southeastern Chesapeake, VA, this 763-acre park is the perfect blend of natural beauty and recreational activities. Multiple time winner of "Best of Chesapeake," this gem of Chesapeake Parks and Recreation has something to offer everyone. Year-round boating, fishing, hiking, and programs are just the beginning. We have our own putt-putt course, horse shoes, volleyball nets and so much more. The park’s 70 groomed campsites are available from April 1 to November 30 and can accommodate trailers up to 50ft in length. Fully-equipped rental cabins opened in 2008.

Northwest River Park is the perfect place for you and your family to enjoy the day or a week-long stay.

The park is open from 9:00 am till sunset year round.
