Skate Park

Teens playing at a skate park - photograph Located at Chesapeake City Park, a few miles from Greenbrier South exit off I-64 in Chesapeake, the facility is open for participants who wish to skateboard or in-line skate. It includes a spine ramp, hip ramp and three-quarter pipe. It also features a street area that includes a series of smaller ramps, boxed platforms, and obstacles that can be moved around to offer different courses. Participants must wear safety equipment and have a City of Chesapeake Skate Park membership card or visitor's pass. (see purchase information below)

Skate Park membership cards and visitor's passes can be purchased in advance at any community center or during normal working hours at the Ranger Station at City Park (Skate Park membership cards are not available at the Skate Park.) For a list of all seven Chesapeake community centers and contact information click here. Children age 10 and under must be accompanied by a community center card-carrying adult.
