Chesapeake Animal Control Unit

Volunteer Orientation

Chesapeake Animal Control invites animal lovers to attend a volunteer orientation meeting on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will be held at the animal shelter located at 3807 Cook Blvd. in the Cavalier Industrial Park.

Animal Control is looking for volunteers to assist in helping homeless animals. Volunteers at least 16 years of age are needed to full such positions as drivers, office assistants, special events assistants, and newsletter editor. Requirements and qualifications will be discussed at the meeting, and applications will be available.
